Dr. Brianna Newman

Dr. Newman believes in an integrative and individualized approach to patient care, and she is dedicated to educating patients and empowering them to be active members in optimizing their own health. She achieved her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph where she was a member of the varsity women’s rugby team. Her interest in sports and movement mechanics led her to Scotland where she attended Robert Gordon University and attained a post graduate diploma in Sports Biomechanics. Her personal experience with athletic injury fueled her passion for individualized patient care leading her to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. To further her learning, Dr. Newman also completed the Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University.

Born and raised in Belleville, Dr. Newman has been a long standing member of the local Belleville Bulldogs rugby community. During her final years at Guelph as a competitive athlete, she also developed a passion for the sport of Crossfit and in recent years has achieved her CrossFit Level 1 Coaching certification. As a CrossFit athlete and coach she has gained valuable experience observing and coaching basic movements of daily living as well as a variety of athletic skills.

Dr. Newman uses a multi-faceted approach to patient care, combining functional assessment, manual therapy techniques, medical acupuncture and active rehabilitation. She uses a variety of tools to allow her to build a unique treatment plan based on the needs of each individual patient.
