Erica Thomas - Physiotherapist

Erica graduated from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in 2003 and a Masters of Physical Therapy degree in 2005. She has had experience working in an acute care hospital, home care, and predominantly, an outpatient orthopedic clinic setting. Erica has completed her acupuncture certification examination and she has received her CAFCI (Certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute) designation. Erica has constantly pursued numerous post-graduate courses including vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, dry needling, soft tissue release, the McKenzie Institute for the treatment of the lumbar and cervical spine, as well as Mulligan concept of treatment courses.

She has a passion for teaching and has mentored over 20 Physiotherapy students over the course of her career. When it comes to working with clients, Erica is thorough and engaged. She loves encouraging, motivating, and educating her clients about Physiotherapy, the nature of their injury, anatomy and neurophysiology, and on what they need to do (along with her treatment plan), in order to get better. Erica believes in a holistic approach to healing and wellness and always considers the whole person (body, mind, spirit, and emotions) when developing her treatment plan for her clients so that they regain their optimal level of health and wellness. She will help you set reachable goals to get your health on track and will provide you the guidance to reach them. In her spare time, Erica enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, being outdoors, biking, swimming, running, reading, and yoga.
