What can I expect with my first visit?
After you book your appointment online, by phone or in person - you will be given some forms to fill out to help the team get to know you, your health history and key areas of concerns.
You will be welcomed by the front desk who will take you to see your Practitioner in a private room. Here your Practitioner will go through your information in an oral conversation getting to know you and your key areas of concerns. You will then go through a manual assessment and discuss a treatment plan moving forward - including exercises to support at home, frequency of appointments and what type of therapy to expect at appointments - your individual treatment plan. The practitioner will also recommend if any diagnostic testing is needed (ex. X-ray, Ultrasound) and if any other Practitioners at BIHC can support in your treatment plan.
BIHC is a team ready to support you and you are welcome to ask any questions throughout your first appointment for understanding and clarification.
