Education and Professional Experience:

Angela Lagerlof is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their optimal health outcomes and firmly believes that the integrative, multi-disciplinary approach offered by BIHC is one of the most effective ways of doing that.

Angela graduated from Queen’s University in 2008 with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she attended the University of New Brunswick and completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with Honours. Angela is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is firmly committed to maintaining and improving her skills, having taken over 25 post graduate specialized courses since 2008.

Angela has a special interest and passion for Pelvic Health and is certified to perform Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. This includes the treatment of pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, pregnancy and post-partum care, prolapse, diastasis rectus abdominus, bowel dysfunction and numerous other conditions. She takes a functional approach to care and centres treatment around client goals. She has pursued pelvic health courses in urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, menopause, pediatric pelvice health, pregnancy and pelvic girdle pain, complex pelvic pain, pelvic health in running athletes and female athletes, addressing secual dysfunction, oncology and the pelvic floor, fascial courses amongst others. She has also completed advanced manual therapy studies and has completed her Level 2 Manual Therapy course with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division, numerous additional manual therapy courses from the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute, as well as courses in Acupuncture, Cupping, Dry Needling and Soft Tissue Release.

Angela joined BIHC in 2016. She is married with two children – a daughter, a son and a fluffy dog named Noodles! In her limited spare time, Angela enjoys biking, softball, weight training, skiing and anything fitness related.

Angela understands that all individuals have uniqur needs. She will conduct both subjective and objective evaluations to develop a personalized tratement plan to help you meet your goals.
