Mia Legato

Mia Legato - Chiropractic Resident

Fuelled by her passion for health and well-being, Mia began her education by completing her Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant diploma from Humber College (2016). Her interest in rehabilitation led her to complete her undergraduate degree in Physical and Health Education from Nipissing University (2020). During her time working with Nipissing University Varsity Athletics, she decided to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (expected June 2024). It was during this time that she became committed to becoming an evidence-based, holistic practitioner through her comprehensive understanding of physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Alongside Mia’s chiropractic education, she has completed Neurofunctional Acupuncture training through McMaster University (2023), which integrates the science of needling and the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. She has a special interest in pregnancy, pediatrics, and female care and has planned to complete more specialized training for these populations in the coming year. Being a new mother herself to an 18-month-old, she has experienced first-hand the impact of chiropractic care for her growing family.

Outside of working at the clinic, Mia enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, camping, pottery, and spending time with her family. Mia is excited to start serving the Quinte region, where she was born and raised, and is committed to providing the most comprehensive care for her patients.
